Is my old TV compatible with new DVD/VCR combos? - rca dvd vcr combos did i get a good model
I bought an RCA DVD recorder / VCR (model # DRC8335). After installation, I realized I could not setup menu. My previous DVD or VCR remote controls all have a "VCR / TV" turn to the press to the television, in video mode, but could not find a distance in this one. I called the number from your service provider customers and was surprised to hear that there is never a kind of functionality - you should select the input mode on the TV. However, I have a TV of 18 years who do not have choices, so that I have ever seen. Everything that was pointed out to the customer service person, contact the manufacturer of television - a big problem, because my TV is a company of 2000 - Montgomery Ward brand! (TV Maybe some other company actually built, but I have no idea how to determine which one to.)
1. Is there anything I can do (not unlike buying a new TV), or the back of the DVD machine?
2. Are all newDVD / video like this?

Is there work in your TV remote? If so, you can buy a generic universal remote control, where you should be able to work on both devices. If not, is to change the channels manually, which in this case by the strength of your hand rather than reach. What contribution to the TV to give you the DVD box? If there is coaxial with the TV on channel 3 or 4. If there is an RCA connector, turn on the TV online or Aux or something. Good luck.
try to do it manually! Mine works this way ... 25 years! Zenith!
